Rata Vineyard - Made in only the best years, this Pinot noir was sourced from the Okana vineyard in Banks Peninsula's Kaituna Valley. The Vines were low cropped and sustainably managed on Basalt soils to create a wine that is completely expressive of its origin and vintage.This is sweetly fruited and seductively savoury at the same time, showing spiced cherry, plum, dark mushroom, hazelnut and warm spice aromas on the nose, leading to a gracefully expressed palate that is velvety and flowing. The wine offers wonderful fruit intensity backed by spicy/savoury nuances, superbly framed by fine texture and polished tannins.
