NOSE: A pretty lift of violet, cut plum andmulberries, with subtle hints of mint andcrushed rock.PALATE: Vibrant and juicy with flavours ofblack cherry and blood plums upfront, withnuances of clove spice, dark chocolate andsalted liquorice in support. It is framed bydelicate tannins and a redcurrant like aciditythat delivers a satisfyingly long finish.VINTAGE: Low growing season rainfall, combined witha hot summer, led to an early and condensedvintage. Yields were below average, a result ofthe dry conditions and an intense Novemberhail storm event. The moderating influence ofGulf St Vincent, reliable spring rainfall, andsupplementary summer drip irrigation allowedus to successfully cope with the challengesof the season. Fruit quality was tremendouswith small berries full of concentrated flavour.Intense aromatics are a hallmark of the vintage.
