Although Convalmore Distillery in Dufftown, Speyside closed its doors in 1985, its ghosts are still around. Distilled in 1984 and matured for 32 years in American ex-bourbon hogsheads, this was released as part of Diageo's 2017 Special Releases Series. It is smooth, sweet, fruity, and herbal, balanced with soft spicy oak. Despite the amount of time spent in oak, this whisky is remarkably balanced.
