The Josmeyer tasting was a rare treat, we had a small group so it was an intimate tasting and there was much discussion and overall agreement on the quality of the wines. Growing varieties such as Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Riesling Alsace is like a jewel in the crown of French wines and totally affordable at usually less the $100 for a Grand Cru. The treat of the evening was being able to taste 2 Grand Cru 2015 Rieslings one from Brand and one from the Hengst vineyard. They are not geographically far from from each other but the soil types are totally different, hence the difference in the wines was remarkable. Both charming in their own way but vastly different. These vibrant gorgeous wines are an affordable treat and well worth seeking out
