For this month’s Wellington Malt Club we tasted a selection of winners from the 2018 World Whisky Awards. To remove preconception bought on by brand names and price tags we decided to do this blind. The line up as a whole was very exciting and all whisky’s tried were well deserved winners. One of the suprise standouts of the night was the GlenGlassaugh Torfa, a well rounded whisky with an affordable price tag. We were also treated to the Benraich 22y PX Albariza, a rich and decadent delight. A big thanks to Kenny from Hancocks for coming down to guide us through the tasting.
