There were no losers in Bordeaux in 2019 both the Left and Right bank shined brightly albeit for different reasons. The Cabernet driven wines from the Left bank tended to be higher in tannin, so great for ageing potential and the Right bank were smooth and plush. This is a vintage that didn’t initially get a lot of attention due to the pandemic, now however savvy wine buyers and critics alike are recognising the quality driven vintage for what it is.
