VIRTUAL TASTING - BURGUNDY VS NZ PINOT NOIR
While Burgundy continues to stand as the benchmark that is constantly referenced when speaking about fine Pinot Noir, the wave of excitement about New Zealand Pinot Noir continues to swell. Digging deep into the Glengarry Wines cellar we have rounded up a stunning list of Cote d’Or’s finest villages, next to some treasured favourites from Gods own, matching vintages along the way. Exploring how these great wines age in both the new and old world.
To ensure these samples reach you in safe and optimum condition, we will be using the Coravin system to check for cork taint. The tasting bottles will then be filled with the Le Verre de Vin system and argon gas, to minimise contact with air and prevent oxidation. The team will be using applicable protective practises when preparing the samples. They will then be dispatched to you that afternoon, so you receive them for the tasting on Thursday evening. These sample bottles are designed for short term storage to get them to you for the tasting, not for keeping in your cellar. Details will be included explaining how to set up your computer / phone / iPad to join the tasting which will be conducted via Zoom.
