March each year sees the highly anticipated release of the new wines from Te Mata, one of New Zealand's oldest and most respected producers. In Wellington this year we will be showcasing the complete lineup, all presented by one of the Buck family. Toby is their sales and marketing manager, and will be taking us through their new releases, Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Chardonnay 2017, Gamay Noir 2018, Syrah 2018, Cabernet Merlot 2017. Then on to the Icon wines; Zara Viognier 2018, Cape Crest 2018, Elston Chardonnay 2017 and Awatea Cabernet Merlot 2017. We tasted these a couple of weeks ago, and Zara and Elston are looking like the finest examples ever produced at Te Mata. Finally we come to the legendary Coleraine 2017, one of our country's finest wines. Come along anytime between 4.30pm and 6.30pm on your way home to taste through at your leisure.
