2014 BORDEAUX BLANC - NEW ARRIVALS | WELLINGTON
The 2014 Bordeaux vintage has finally arrived, while variable it's still the best since 2009/2010. This year we thought we would start by taking a look at the fabulous dry white wines of the region. This is the 10th successful vintage in a row for these unheralded and underrated beauties. Produced from Sauvignon Blanc and Semillion with their subtle scent of beeswax and lanolin, and ability to age for decades, a style almost polar opposite from their fruity new world cousins. We will be trying some of the very best of the vintage in tonight's lineup, including the rare dry wine of Chateau d'Yquem, and the very first public release of Chateau Palmer Blanc (previously only for the owners and guests of the Chateau).
