Mahi, meaning 'our work, our craft,' began in 2001, fulfilling a dream of Brian and Nicola Bicknell. Established to show the variation across vineyards in Marlborough, the wines are made in a considered hands-off fashion with the key goal being texture. By interfering as little as possible we aim to show these vineyards in their truest form, allowing them to show the site that they came from. For our April Takapuna wineclub we have the privilege of hosting owner/winemaker of Mahi; Brian Bicknell. With a history of winemaking in Marlborough extending back to 1989 and interspersed with numerous vintages spent abroad Brian is one of New Zealand's most experienced winemakers. Experience that combined with the delicious range of his Mahi Wines means this tasting will be one you don't want to miss!
