The 2018 vintage in Burgundy has finally arrived after many shipping delays thanks to the eventful past year! It was a heatwave vintage that began with extremely wet winter months. While young vines struggled somewhat, the older vines ripened fully due to high water tables. This resulted in exceptionally healthy and clean fruit. Given that it was hot there was some initial doubt that the whites would shine, but the resulting fruit was bright and shows energetic freshness. The bonus for the reds was that there was no disease pressure, the fruit was pristine and healthy and the red wines are showing a wonderful freshness and vibrancy. We have gathered together a lovely line up across a variety of appellations, including 3 Grand Cru that will show off this remarkable character of this great vintage.
