METHODE TRADITIONALLE | THE INFLUENCE OF TERROIR
Terroir is a term that encompasses a sense of place, including unchangeable attributes like the Weather or Terrain to historically earn factors like tradition. Tonight we will explore regions from around the World, tasting the influence climate and tradition can have on the art of Methode traditionalle. New Zealand, as a country is still an infant compared to the wine producers of Europe, but our location on the World makes up for our otherwise lack of tradition, so naturally the first half of tonight will be tasting wines from our key regions, Marlborough and Central Otago, before we venture of to Europe and taste the greats from Franciacorta, the sun-baked Penedes, and the chalky soils of Kent
