JAPANESE WHISKY MASTERCLASS LIKE NO OTHER | WELLINGTON
We are delighted to present a Masterclass in Toki Whisky from the House of Suntory. Established in 1923 and representing the first whisky distillery in Japan, Yamazaki in Kyoto was the brainchild of Shinjiro Torii who dreamt of creating a whisky that was truly Japanese, created from its terrain and under its climate. Years later, Yamazaki and Hakushu single malts and its blended whisky Hibiki continue to win awards and are exported across the globe.
Toki is one of the newest expressions from the House of Suntory, and a vivid blend of whiskies from Suntory’s Hakushu, Yamazaki, and Chita distilleries with a signature balance of malt and grain that highlight the fresh, clean, and crisp flavor.
House of Suntory Ambassador Rory Donnelly will lead the masterclass and guests can expect to taste a range of exclusive Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita expressions that make up the Toki Whisky blend, before finishing in the paragon of Japanese whisky, Hibiki.
A tasting like this deserved world class Japanese food, who better than Ebisu in Auckland and Yakisoda in Wellington to prepare the perfect accompaniments.
What’s more, your ticket includes a bottle of Toki to take home at the end of the night.
$120 per person, this is a tasting you don’t want to miss, book soon to avoid disappointment.
