Founded in 1849 at Angaston in the heart of the Barossa Valley, Yalumba is one of Australia's greatest wineries. Tonight we are honoured to have their senior red winemaker Kevin Glastonbury with us. He grew up in the region and has more than 40yrs of industry experience, so knows the Barossa like the back of his hand. He has been Wine Estate Magazine Winemaker of the year, is a Len Evan Tutorial scholar, and a respected wine judge. Tonight we will be looking at one of their most famous wines, the Signature. Launched in 1962, it's a uniquely Barossa Cabernet & Shiraz blend. We will be starting with their flagship Virgilus Viognier, then 5 vintages of Signature; 2006, 2008, 2012 (From Magnum), 2013 and 2014. We will finish with the Menzies Cabernet 2013 and their iconic Octavius Shiraz 2013. The perfect mid winter tasting! Places are very limited.
