Serre is not in fact a Cru, but historically a blend of various Cru. However, for many years now Serre has come from Castellletto, going forward Gagliardo will change its name to be its actual Cru name. An east facing vineyard, very cool overnight and the first to show warmth in the morning. Perfrumed, fragrant, the tension in this wine between the acid and tannin is captivating.
