The Alsatian estate was founded in 1854 by Aloyse Meyer, a noted restaurateur and gourmet, the house of Josmeyer has been run since 1966 by Jean Meyer, who represents the fourth generation of the family, recently assisted by his daughters Isabelle and Celine, and Christophe Ehrhart, who is in charge of viticulture. Situated amid the communes of Wintzenheim, Turckheim and Wettolsheim, the Josmeyer domaine covers an area of 25 ha of which 5 are the slopes of the A.O.C. Grand Cru Brand and Hengst vineyards.
