CHARVIS
Situated in the heart of the district of Auxerre in the north of Burgundy, the vines are deeply rooted in a soil whose very special type of limestone gives Crémants Bailly Lapierre their unique subtlety and elegance. In the permanent cool semidarkness of the ancient quarry, the cellar man or chef-de-cave, attends daily to the bottles in racks in which a natural phenomenon is in action, the creation of the sparkle. The Cellars Bailly-Lapierre were created in 1972 and produce today one third of the Crémant de Bourgogne appellation.
