During 150 years of wine making, Seppelt Wines has built a reputation of innovation and dedication to quality. The Seppelt approach is to harness the strength and characteristics of each region and create varietally and regionally expressive wines.
Today, Seppelt strives for the same standards of excellence that gave these wines the iconic status for which they are renowned.
As the senior winemaker at Seppelt Wines, Emma is responsible for making red and white table wines, as well managing the production of premium sparkling wines. Emma says, "I enjoy the challenges of looking after a wide range of varieties and styles, in particular producing balanced, elegant wines that remain regionally and varietally expressive but without excessive alcohol or use of oak". In 2006 Emma was awarded one of the Australian wine industry's highest accolades, The 2006 Wine Society Young Winemaker of the Year recognising her talent for making the elegant, refined, cool climate wines that she is so passionate about. Also winemaker at Seppelt is Jo Marsh. In 2009 Jo was also a finalist in The Wine Society Young Winemaker of the Year.
