Winemaker Profile
As the senior winemaker at Seppelt Wines, Emma is responsible for making red and white table wines, as well managing the production of premium sparkling wines. Emma says, "I enjoy the challenges of looking after a wide range of varieties and styles, in particular producing balanced, elegant wines that remain regionally and varietally expressive but without excessive alcohol or use of oak".
In 2006 Emma was awarded one of the Australian wine industry's highest accolades, The 2006 Wine Society Young Winemaker of the Year recognising her talent for making the elegant, refined, cool climate wines that she is so passionate about. Also winemaker at Seppelt is Jo Marsh. In 2009 Jo was also a finalist in The Wine Society Young Winemaker of the Year.
