"A Family Passion". They're very cosmopolitan, the Brothers Pasqua, as far from the image of the peasant Italian winemaker/farmer as you could possibly imagine. One of Italy's leading independent, privately-owned wine companies they are one of the few wineries of the Veneto region to actually headquarter themselves in the heart of the commercial district in the middle of the city of Verona. They even employed a designer from Milan to come up with their stunning new labels and packaging.
All that said, though, to balance their urban(e) air, this family have 80 years experience working the land of this region, and have been big drivers of the region's success, ensuring wines like Soave and Valpolicella are known throughout the wine-drinking world. The Pasqua family are dedicated to producing high quality grapes and making great value wines which express the character of the Italian wine regions. While they do produce exceptional value, 'entry-level' wines, Pasqua also have a reputation for crafting beautiful Amarone-style and top end wines, such as the single vineyard Villa Borghetti wines, ensuring that Pasqua are also a force in the best dining rooms, both public and private.
Winemaker Profile
Carlo Pasqua - In 2005 the Company celebrated its 80th birthday. That day was very important to all of us as we could all look back and hatch proudly what had been done in 80 years.
The next challenge is in 2007 with the opening of the new Winery of San Felice and the relocation of all the business to the new site.
That day will be a historic day for us signing the end of an era, and a new, exciting beginning: all of you are welcome to join us in the celebration!
