GUIGAL WITH ROD HULL - WELLINGTON
Guigal has had a metoric rise to greatness in the Rhone Valley they were in founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis. Guigal are the leading negociant in the Rhone Valley, this is a major acclomplishment when you consider that most European wine dynasties trace their origins back to the 1800's. Three generations later we now find Phillipe Guigal with his wife Eve buy his side as the Estates winemaker and Managing Director. In 1995 Guigal acquired the famous Chateau d'Ampuis an oenological monument whose long history is linked to the Cote Rotie appellation. The Chateau has become the headquarters of the Guigal Estate and the ffices and cellars remain in the village of Ampuis. Today there are 3 hecatres of cellars and the history and soul of the Guigal family are clearly present in these cellars. We are lucky to have Rod Hull the Asia Pacific representative joining us to guide us through a huge range of their wines.
